Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Manipulation

Instrument assisted soft tissue manipulation or IASTM (comparable to Graston technique) is performed with ergonomically designed instruments that are used to detect and treat fascial restrictions that may be preventing potential muscle growth, plantar fascitis, in addition to effectively treating these areas from soft tissue fibrosis (scar tissue) that may be present throughout the muscle.

How it Works

The controlled micro-trauma to the targeted muscle stimulates a local inflammatory response; this local inflammatory response will increase blood flow and nutrients to that area which is beneficial to the muscle in two ways.

This will result in re-absorption of the fibrosis/scar tissue that may be present.
Shorten the healing time between workouts.
